Elections to DTNA's 2026 board are coming up!
We are looking to bring 2 new board members on to join the 9 current board members who will be running again for 2026 DTNA board seats. We want people who are ready and able to roll up your sleeves to fulfill the mission of DTNA: to protect and improve the quality of life for all who come to the Duboce Triangle to live, work, or play, by fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment focused on respect, mutual support, and open dialogue.
If you are interested in the success of our entire neighborhood beyond one topic, one issue, or one street, I urge you to reach out to me at president@dtna.org and ask any questions you may have about becoming a DTNA board member.
First, the timeline:
Nominations: November 1-November 30
Voting: December 1 - December 9
Election: December 9 (Final 2025 neighborhood meeting)
You are eligible to run for a Board position if you have been a member for 90 days prior to the election - which means if you have been a member since September 10, 2025 you are eligible, and you can vote if you have been a member for 30 days (join on or before November 9).
All Board positions are elected for one-year terms. Nominations need to be submitted between November 1 and November 30 to place a candidate on the ballot. After the close of nominations, a candidate webpage on www.dtna.org will include candidate statements and pictures. You will then have 9 days to vote for the slate of candidates.
All those interested in running for a board seat in 2026 will need to read and agree to: 1) Board Duties; 2) Codes of Conduct; and 3) Conflicts of Interest Policy. All three documents were adopted this summer by the 2025 board and are there to ensure that everyone who runs is fully aware of the Board's responsibilities to the mission, to the organization and to the neighborhood.
Please go to the drop down menu in this section to read each document.
If you have an interest in joining the Board or want to learn more about how the Board and DTNA function, please reach out to me at president@dtna.org.
