DTNA Community Meeting Highlights of Sept. 12, 2005

Board member Peter Cohen chaired a presentation about the City's Octavia/ Market Better Neighborhood plan. AnMarie Rodgers and John Bilovitz from the SF Planning Department spoke about the long effort to create this plan and answered questions from the audience. Long-time Triangle resident Peter Albert and board member Dennis Richards reminded us that a complete historic building survey was long overdue for the Triangle and all residents and owners should support completion of the survey. That information will verify the existence and historic value of the older structures in the Triangle. Survey findings can persuade the Planning Department to avoid rezoning and land use modifications that would endanger our neighborhood. The DTNA leadership will seek community input and work with city planners.
