Duboce Triangle Film Festival

Friends of Duboce Park (FDP) is pleased to announce the first Duboce Triangle Film Festival. The event is free to the community. The grand premier is Saturday, March 6, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. in the Photography Center on the lower level of the Harvey Milk Recreation Center. The inaugural season will consist of three screenings to take place on the first Saturdays of March, April, and May. Selected films share the theme of being set in San Francisco and span three decades.

The first film, Bullitt (P.G./1968) stars Steve McQueen as San Francisco Detective Lieutenant Frank Bullitt, assigned to guard a star mob witness by his bosses. The film is notable in the way San Francisco is not just the setting but also plays a critical role in the plot an contains filmdom's first spectacular car chase scene, filmed without camera tricks.

The Duboce Triangle Film Festival's April offering will be Foul Play (1978), to be followed by D.O.A. (1950) in May.
