The neighbors attending gave various reactions to the Halloween party. Most saw improved safety and better traffic control this October. In previous years, traffic blocked most streets in the Triangle that lead to anger, confrontations, and injuries. This year, the traffic control was far better and delays were minimal.
Capt. John Erlich introduced himself and emphasized his plan to keep the area as safe as possible. Sgt. Porto of Park Station confirmed that patrols check Duboce Park daily.
Some board members' term expire this month. Two members, Ned York and Heather Cherry, ' have resigned from the board. Other board members whose terms expire have agreed to be nominated for another term. Peter Cohen, a new Triangle resident, was nominated to a vacancy on the board. Elections will be held at the January meeting.
Peter Cohen reported he is working with Safeway and Supervisor Dufty and others to bring more safety to the Market-Duboce-Church Street area. In addition. The Recycling Center may be moving from the Safeway lot.
Robin Levitt of Hayes Valley reported that some residents around the Octavia Blvd. reconstruc- tion project want Caltrans to delay the construc- tion of the new roads to consider addition changes.
