By Sharon Luk, Youth & Activities Coordinator
On behalf of all staff at One Church Street Apartments, we feel pleased with the opportunity to contribute to the Duboce Triangle neighborhood. In the last year and a half, service staff has worked hard to implement community programs for the residents in our building. These programs include adult and youth computer courses; ESL classes; arts and music classes for youth; educational and financial workshops; and holiday celebrations. We invite you to stay posted if you are interested in participating in upcoming community health and stress management workshops hosted by Church Street service staff'and other community partners.
Among the services we offer to our residents, our monthly visit by San Francisco Public Library's Bookmobile is one activity that we encourage all Duboce Triangle neighborhood residents to utilize. SFPL's Bookmobile is a mobile children's library that carries books for children of all ages, from preschool to teen years. Church Street residents as well as the children from Friends of Saint Francis Childcare Center participate every month in the visit. We invite all neighbors to come by and check it out! The Bookmobile is parked outside of One Church Street Apartments on the comer of Church and Duboce, the first Tuesday of every month from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
Please feel free to contact Sharon Luk, Youth & Activities Coordinator, at 415/734-9014, or Kimberly Alvarenga, Program Coordinator, at 415/734-9010, for further information about the Bookmobile or other services available at One Church Street Apartments.
